Measuring “Engagement” over time
The Dataset viewing dashboard in Stim Admin includes these crucial charts that show how relative attention and emotional engagement vary over time. Relative attention measures the fraction of the audience who are paying attention. The x-axis shows time, from start (left) to end (right) of Stim exposure. The y-axis for both charts shows how “good” the Stim is, with higher being better. Dips indicate that more participants have disengaged and looked away.
Emotional engagement captures the percentage of the audience who are expressing any change in emotional reaction in response to the content, based on the theory that any emotional response is better than none.
